Dr. Malena Taylor is a licensed counselor in Wisconsin with 20+ years of mental health experience in helping adult, teen and adolescent clients with stress and anxiety, relationship issues, family conflicts, and depression. Dr. Taylor earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, holds a masters in organizational leadership, and a master’s degree in clinical psychology. Afterward, she earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University. Dr. Taylor’s clinical work shifted from a specialty in assessment and treatment with children and adolescents, suicide risk assessment, crisis and trauma work to working with interpersonal relationships and career challenges. Dr. Taylor’s niche specialties include: adults with anxiety disorders, couples/partner counseling, caregiver/first responder fatigue and workplace challenges. Areas of treatment and research interest include multicultural/BIPOC challenges and workplace stress. Dr. Taylor is also a certified relationship coach for women.
Dr. Taylor utilizes evidenced based practices such as CBT, solution focused therapy, person centered approach, and other treatment interventions while also developing a connection to every client as a unique individual who has their own special life experience. Sessions will focus on working together to examine the core beliefs and stories that are blocking you from living your best life. Dr. Taylor has a deep commitment to the wellness of her clients and aims to always respect your perspectives and emotions. The therapeutic process can be exciting as we grow past our comfort zone, shed restraining beliefs and expand our minds and hearts to new opportunities of self discovery.
