Kathleen’s approach to therapy is grounded in person-centered, trauma informed care with a focus on holistic, integrative treatment. She honors the fact that every client is the expert on their own life.She is a seasoned psychotherapist bringing years of knowledge and skills to her profession.
Kathleen seeks to alleviate emotional and psychological pain and suffering and to restore the ability for each person to experience peace, hope and joy in life. She believes that HOPE is the true essence of an enriched life and as a professional counselor she finds a calling to restore and enhance hope in challenging situations.
Kathleen believes every person has a story and that every human being deserves respect and dignity no matter the circumstances. Her motto is: You are precious and worthy of the best care possible; your life matters and your story is priceless.
This motto and her primary focus to “do no harm” is something she follows closely. With that philosophy in mind she would like to hear how she can make improvements and is willing to discuss any of her short-comings.
Kathleen is able to incorporate a service dog into therapy sessions. Layla is a certified Canine Good Citizen and she is registered as a Therapy Dog in training. She is small but her heart is enormous.Some would call her a mutt (mixed breed) but Kathleen calls her wonderful. If you would like Layla incorporated into your sessions, please let Kathleen know.
