Sam, MS, LPC-IT, NCC, is a Licensed Professional Counselor In Training who provides
telehealth therapy to children, adolescents, and adults in Wisconsin. She has a special
interest in treating clients experiencing concerns with anxiety, depression, adjustment,
self-esteem, self-worth, identity, life transitions, women’s issues, parenting, stress
management, burnout, boundary setting, sexuality, communication, interpersonal
relationships, emotion regulation, career, school, health, body image, faith/spirituality,
and grief/loss.
Sam believes the client is the expert on themselves. She listens to clients and works
alongside them to develop a treatment plan that best meets their needs. She utilizes a
blend of person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and
commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), solution-focused
therapy, motivational interviewing (MI), and play therapy to provide an integrative and
evidence-based approach to treatment. Sam is passionate about helping clients work
towards living in alignment with their values.
Sam earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Business Administration from
the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental
Health Counseling from Capella University in Minnesota. She is currently practicing
under Independent Clinical Supervisor Alexis Van Eperen to provide therapy services.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, sauna, cold plunge, reading, cuddling her
dog, interior decorating, and gardening.
